ITV Big Clean Up Newcastle upon Tyne is taking place at Hodgkin Park. The dene at the west side of the park is inaccessible at the moment. Volunteers are needed to help with clearing three ornamental ponds, cut back saplings and undergrowth as well as clearing access to footpaths so that people can use the area. Volunteers will need strong shoes or boots and wear clothing that will not tear easily. In case of bad weather it will be a good idea to bring waterproofs and wellingtons. Training, tools, lunch and entertainment will be provided on the day so why not come and join the fun!
