Over the weekend, hundreds of people across the country took to the beaches, parks and gardens of Wales to clean-up their local areas. ITV Wales staff joined in the fun on Friday when a team of eager volunteers,headed to Aberthaw Beach under the watchful eye of Nigel Evans from the Wildlife Trust.

Elsewhere in Wales, hundreds of BITC volunteers were also giving up their time and taking to the beaches.Cameras were at a range of events throughout the weekend – from following an underwater clean-up by divers at Trefor in North Wales to catching up with a group of surfers cleaning their adopted beach at Rest Bay, Porthcawl
